If the pictures you send us of your ID are blurry, and we can’t verify your identity, we will ask you to submit new pictures.
When resubmitting your ID, take a picture up close so that we can clearly read the text. Make sure that the entire ID is visible in the picture.
*Check the lighting so that there are no shadows or glare over the ID.
*Make sure that the ID is in focus and the text is clear.
Examples of common mistakes:

If the pictures you send us of your ID don’t show the width of the document, we will ask you to submit new pictures.
When resubmitting your ID, make sure we can see the width of the ID.
Follow the below example and photograph the ID to show the width, then check the pictures. If you can’t clearly see the width of the ID, please retake it before submitting.

- Take a picture with the card at an angle so we can see the side of the card.


*1: If any information is written in English characters on your ID, input the information in English as shown.
*2: If your address has changed since you first received your residence card, make sure the picture clearly displays the stamp next to your new address on the back of the card.
- Make sure the address on your ID is your current address.
- If the address on your residence card doesn’t match your current address, you will need to update the address on your card or submit a supplementary document with proof of your current address.
